In 2021 my family and I decided to go to Kenya for a family trip. Whilst planning we came across the stats on poverty and my mother asked me to find a place where she can visit to give charity directly to those in need. We found an orphanage in Mombasa and decided to fundraise to help support them. Together with close family and friends we fundraised £13,000 Alhamdulillah. It was a heartwarming and touching experience and we created memories we’ll never forget. When we got back to the UK myself and my wife kept discussing Kenya and how we can do more to help. We returned back to Kenya in Ramadan to extend our support to the people living in poverty and were overwhelmed with the support from friends and family, this is when the idea of starting a charity began. March 2022 became a big moment, whilst we were travelling to Kenya, we got an email, Mission Relief was officially a registered charity!
We aim to provide solutions to stop generational poverty by tackling the root cause and creating sustainable solutions.
We also focus on responding effectively to global emergency disasters. We work towards enlightening and educating communities and encourage self-development for the betterment of the community.
In particular, striving towards empowering young children and women who are the most impacted. Overall, we operate by values inspired by our faith: Equality, Respect, Integrity and Partnership.
Our long-term vision at Mission Relief is to live in a world where basic needs are met. Where a person does not go a day without food or clean water. To create optimism in communities across the globe so people are able to envision a brighter future.
A world where suffering parents are able to afford the basics for their families and watch their children have the opportunities to build a successful future.
We aim for poverty to become a thing of the past by creating sustainable solutions for generations to come. Finally, making our Mission of Relieving our brothers and sisters who are struggling a reality, so they are also able to assist others.
